3 Gorgeous Places to Stay on Spain's Costa Blanca for Under €200

Intro
Spain's Costa Blanca is stunning, and staying somewhere luxurious doesn't necessarily mean spending €300+ per night. During my own travels through the region, I stayed at three completely different properties, from a peaceful countryside finca to a boutique apartment in Altea's whitewashed old town and an adults-only cliffside hotel with incredible sea views.
The best part? All three came in at roughly under €200 per night during my stays, with one costing as little as €139. I visited in both April and August, too, so these aren't recommendations based on finding some impossible-to-repeat bargain in the middle of winter. That's shoulder season in April and peak summer in August, and the prices are still that good!
If you're wondering where to stay on the Costa Blanca without blowing your accommodation budget, these are three places I'd genuinely recommend:
For a countryside escape: Cuatre Finques
For incredible sea views: Condesa de Altea
For staying in the heart of Altea: Mimar Altea Rooms
Let's get into it:
1. Cuatre Finques: A Peaceful Countryside Escape in the Jalón Valley
Finding this hotel came from my search for remote, finca-style stays that weren't too far from La Marina. My boyfriend's parents have a vacation home there, which makes one- or two-night excursions to beautiful hotels in the area really easy for us. That's when I came across Cuatre Finques, and I immediately knew we had to go.
At about €175 per night, you get a luxurious boutique stay in the middle of the Spanish countryside. Located in the Xaló/Jalón Valley, it was precisely the tranquil getaway I was looking for. With just nine rooms, a stunning swimming pool, and an "honesty bar" stocked with all the jamón, cheese, and cold drinks you could desire, it was, as far as I'm concerned, perfection.
Why I loved staying here:
It's incredibly aesthetic. Each room is decorated flawlessly, while the common spaces somehow still feel like home. The value for money is insane here. Its countryside setting means it's remote and quiet, with a front-row seat to the surrounding mountain views.
One night was all that was available when we booked last minute, and it certainly wasn't enough. I can completely see why you'd want to stay for three days or more.
Unfortunately, I'm not much of an authority on what to do nearby, because we only stayed for one night and wanted to spend as much time enjoying the property as possible. We did pop into town for dinner at a delicious Neapolitan pizza spot called Ca Dorita, and Stephen got up at sunrise to take a motorcycle ride to the nearby Mirador del Coll de Rates de Parcent viewpoint.
Best for: Couples, a romantic weekend, slow travel, and anyone wanting to experience a quieter side of the Costa Blanca.

2. Hotel Condesa de Altea: Mediterranean Views in the Altea Hills
I actually wasn't planning to share this one, truth be told. We stayed here back in April for my birthday, and I somehow managed to sit on these photos for months. But after staying at two more amazing Costa Blanca properties this summer, I figured it was finally time to share all three gems. This one might be the biggest surprise of them all.
Located in the Altea Hills, Condesa de Altea is an adults-only hotel perched above the Mediterranean, with incredible sea views and a much more peaceful, secluded feel than staying down in Altea itself. The property is made up entirely of apartments: studios, one-bedroom, and even two-bedroom units, all with fully equipped kitchens. A modest but totally lovely breakfast is included - and the terrace you get to enjoy it on? Incredible.
When we stayed in early April, we paid just €139 per night for a studio apartment. The property is built into the hillside in staggered tiers, so each level has its own incredible perspective over the Mediterranean. We were on the lowest tier - which was still pretty high up - with nothing but the ocean in front of us.
Even now, during the height of summer, I can find rates as low as around €199 per night, which honestly blows my mind for a place this beautiful.
Why I loved staying here:
The views are obviously the main event. The hotel sits above the coastline, so there's this incredible sense of being tucked away from everything while still having the Mediterranean right in front of you.
It's also the kind of place where you don't necessarily need a packed itinerary. We were there for my birthday, and it was perfect for a few slow days of swimming, sitting outside, enjoying the views, and generally doing very little - which is exactly what I want from a relaxing Costa Blanca escape.
The adults-only setup also gives it a quieter, more romantic atmosphere, so I think this would be a particularly good option for couples looking for a few days away.
And then there's the price. I genuinely don't understand how you can get this kind of setting for under €200 a night, particularly during high season. Of the three properties in this post, this is probably the best value for money.
One important thing to know before booking
I can't for the life of me figure out why, but this property doesn't seem to let you book very far in advance - which I know will be mildly horrifying to my fellow planners. 🙃
If you're looking ahead and the calendar shows no available dates, don't necessarily assume they're sold out. From what I've seen, they seem to open availability roughly month by month.
So basically: keep checking. It's worth it.
Best for: Couples, birthday trips, romantic getaways, pool days, and anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet base with incredible Mediterranean views.

3. Mimar ALTEA Rooms: A Boutique Stay in the Heart of Altea Old Town
As idyllic as a stay in the Altea Hills was, there is certainly something to be said for the magic of Altea Old Town. We actually didn’t make it to the Old Town when we stayed in the area back in April, so we didn’t know what we were missing. This time around, we booked Mimar Altea Rooms right in the heart of the Old Town (how many times can I say Old Town in this paragraph?) and I am SO glad that we did.
Mimar Altea Rooms is a newly built boutique stay with apartment-style rooms. They’re in the middle of the beautiful whitewashed streets, just minutes from the beach, but also minutes from the lively squares, restaurants, and amazing boutique shops. (If we hadn’t driven there on a motorcycle, I would’ve had myself quite the shopping spree.)
There are 5 double rooms in total - all with a kitchen - and there’s a super aesthetic little courtyard and plunge pool to cool down in. The entry is keyless, which I appreciate, though there was a friendly woman at reception when we arrived in case we had any questions.
Why I loved staying here
Everything was new and modern - and the aforementioned plunge pool satisfied my need (a slight compulsion, really) for Instagrammable aesthetics. We had air conditioning (hallelujah), Wifi, and all the comforts of home with the kitchenette. They even stock you up with some juice, milk, and muffins for breakfast.
The location is probably Mimar's biggest selling point. It’s unbeatable. Being able to walk straight out into Altea Old Town or down to the beach for an early morning swim was a huge perk. We had a super nice dinner with a view just a short walk from the apartment at El Negro Parrilla, and the nighttime scenes around Plaza de la Iglesia were truly picture-perfect. (This is where the blue-domed church is that you see in every photo ever published that references Altea.) We really fell in love with this town. It has a posh, polished feeling that, IMO, many Spanish hotspots are lacking. I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes an annual spot for us to visit!
Best for: couples, first-time visitors to Altea, photographers/content creators, and anyone who wants to experience the town on foot.

Final Thoughts
After staying at all three, I can honestly say that you don't have to spend a fortune to find a beautiful place to stay on Spain's Costa Blanca. And I love that these three stays prove there's no single way to experience the region.
Want a quiet countryside escape? Book Cuatre Finques. Want Mediterranean views and a romantic few days away? Condesa de Altea is hard to beat. Want to wake up in the middle of one of Spain's prettiest old towns? Mimar Altea Rooms is the one.
For me, that's the real takeaway: you can have beautiful design, incredible locations, pools, sea views, and a genuinely special experience without spending €300+ a night. All three are places I'd happily stay again - which is exactly why they made this list.
