Did you land here because you were wondering if Bangkok, Thailand has a Four Seasons hotel? Well I’ve got good news- it does and it is truly something special. The new nine-acre riverside resort opened its doors in 2020 and is the perfect oasis amidst an otherwise chaotic city that never sleeps. Featuring 299 lush guest rooms, several onsite restaurants and bars, impeccably manicured grounds, a top-notch wellness center, and a front row seat to the goings-ons of the Chao Phraya, a stay is memorable to say the least. Luxury in Bangkok is more affordable than in most capital cities, so it’s the perfect place to pamper yourself and not break the bank. Let me tell you a bit about my stay:

I had the pleasure of staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River for two nights in a Premier River-View Room. The 50 m2 (538 sq. ft.) featured panoramic views of the Chao Phraya and provided every possible comfort. In fact, it was so comfortable that I had a really tough time leaving the hotel at all and may or may not have had two or three baths. I’m sure you can understand why:

If you can pull yourself away from the heaven that is your room, and out of the cloud that is your bed, you’ll find that the hotel is full of amazing amenities. Relax by the riverside pool, enjoy the state-of-the-art wellness center, or dine and drink in one of the hotel’s many restaurants and bars.

I can’t stress enough just how delectable the food at the hotel is- from the welcome snack to the buffet breakfast to the restaurants, everything I tried was fantastic. The breakfast in particular easily ranks as one of my favorite hotel breakfasts to date. You can fill your plate with goodies from the buffet (the wide assortment of perfect pastries is enough to impress you, I promise!) and also place a custom order with the chef. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict, which are as cute as they are tasty.

I can also highly recommend Brasserie Palmier, the hotel’s French Tropics-inspired café situated along the riverfront. They specialize in seafood (though I got a steak!), and the outdoor seating area with a glass of wine is a real treat on a warm night.

The real gem of the property (in my opinion) is the BKK Social Club. Bringing the glamor of Buenos Aires to Bangkok, they serve bespoke cocktails and tasty bites in a dazzling setting. To be honest, my camera could not get enough of this stunning interior, nor could my taste buds get enough of the Carnival cocktail. If Latin beats (I was Shazam-ing every song) and a great atmosphere are your thing, you must swing by here and try some pork empanadas while you’re at it!

Fun fact about the hotel’s location- it’s a stone’s throw from an amazing up-and-coming area called the Creative District. The best way to understand this eclectic neighborhood is to show up, get lost, and immerse yourself in it. You can organize a guide with the help of the hotel, or go at it alone- but be warned that you’ll probably get lost! (In Bangkok I think getting lost is an adventure, but you may not agree.) Popping “Talad Noi” into Google Maps is a good starting point, but here are a few notable locations to help get you started!
